The Pincher Creek Emergency Services
is an organization consisting of approximately 50 of full time
and volunteer members. PCES operates out of 3 stations (Lundbreck,
Beaver Mines, and the Town of Pincher Creek) The Department has
a Fire Chief (Tom Harnos), a Deputy Fire Chief (Dave Cox), an
assistant Deputy Chief (Pat Newman), four captains, six Lieutenants,
and one training officer. The Department is dispatched via enhanced
911 out of the City of Lethbridge.
Our primary goal for the Fire Department is fire prevention and
education. Our main role in the community is fire suppression,
rescue, and emergency medical services. We actively participate
and organize community functions such as fire prevention week,
EMS awareness week, and in-school programs. Our Ambulance was
recently upgraded and is now able to provide advanced life support.
We are in the works of trying to organize and implement a more
accessible water and high angle rescue system.
